Songs in the Key of MY life – Day 77

Tonight I was looking for a “TIMG_0953hrowback Thursday” photo and came across this picture of Kathryn’s first picture on her Etch-A-Sketch. Such talent. It rivals Smokey’s artwork from doggie day care.

We have a huge amount of art projects and other school work that we saved for the kids. Seemed so brilliant and cute at the time but with some of it, you look back and are glad they made it out of the second grade. Someday they will appreciate all this archiving we’ve done for them. It is fun to pull out the Christmas ornaments they made as kids. Some have photos and some are beautiful creations of spray painted puzzle pieces or beautifully painted macaroni. They are all lovely in their own way.

There’s been a lull of savable schoolwork since Kathryn’s gotten out of elementary school. There’s just not the same kind of work to save. No one really wants an old geometry test. Now it’s programs from plays or concerts she’s in.

Tonight I’ve picked “Vincent” from my IPod. She may not be a van Gogh or, wait,  could she have been if we’d been more encouraging? Hmmm….,no.

, wait,
